Video Desk: Man Builds a Boat in His Apartment

The boat gets larger. The doorway does not.

PRESS FOR REASSURANCE

Too late. You are already reading Broken Zine.

The premise is simple: a man builds a wooden boat inside a second-floor apartment.

For the first four minutes, this seems charming.

By minute eleven, the boat is visibly wider than the doorway.

By minute nineteen, the comments section has become an engineering tribunal.

The man continues sanding.

No one mentions the stairs.

At minute twenty-seven, his neighbor appears, looks at the boat, looks at the door, and says nothing.

This is the strongest moment in the film.

We do not learn how the boat leaves the apartment.

We suspect it never does.
