Small Press Alert: The Envelope With No Return Address

A tiny mail-only press asks writers to submit something worth making the postal service nervous about.

PRESS FOR REASSURANCE

Too late. You are already reading Broken Zine.

A new micropress calling itself THE ENVELOPE WITH NO RETURN ADDRESS accepts submissions only by physical mail.

No email. No portal. No tracking spreadsheet.

Writers are instructed to send “one thing you would regret losing” in a plain envelope with no cover letter.

Accepted work is photocopied into a folded pamphlet and mailed back to every contributor along with one unexplained object from a junk drawer.

Issue One reportedly included a poem, a grocery list, a photograph of a broken fence, and a tiny brass key that fit nothing.

This is either publishing or evidence.

We approve.

Push something. The magazine is poorly supervised.
