Site News: Editorial Standards Lowered to Reach Shelf

After years of ambitious placement, the standards have been moved somewhere everyone can reach.

PRESS FOR REASSURANCE

Too late. You are already reading Broken Zine.

Following an internal review, Broken Zine has lowered its editorial standards approximately fourteen inches.

The standards had previously been stored on a high shelf beside an unused fondue set.

“Nobody could reach them,” said one editor. “This is more democratic.”

The revised standards still prohibit plagiarism, cruelty for its own sake, and writing that uses the phrase “in today’s fast-paced world.”

Everything else remains under active negotiation.

Submissions involving haunted office equipment will continue to receive preferential emotional treatment.
