Our approach
Broken Zine collects the information needed to operate this site, respond to messages and submissions, and send newsletters that people have requested. We do not sell subscriber information.
Newsletter
When you subscribe, the information you supply—normally your email address—is stored in the site’s newsletter database and used for confirmation, delivery, unsubscribe handling, and basic administration. Confirmation messages help ensure that someone else cannot subscribe you without permission. Newsletter delivery may involve an email service provider acting on our behalf. Every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe.
Submissions and messages
If you submit work or contact the editors, we use what you send to read and evaluate it, communicate with you, and maintain necessary editorial records. Submissions are not automatically a grant of publication rights. Any publication arrangement will be confirmed separately. Do not send sensitive personal information that is irrelevant to your work.
Site technology
The website may set essential cookies for WordPress sessions, security, and site operations. Server logs can record technical information such as IP address, user agent, and request timing. The site may use caching and anti-abuse tools. Third-party services embedded or linked from this site may operate under their own policies.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from emails through the link in a message. For an access, correction, or deletion request about information we control, use our contact page. Some records may need to be retained for security, recordkeeping, or legal obligations.
