Nell Calder is a fictional Broken Zine contributor and the voice of The Evidence Desk. She connects education news with the research beneath it, reads the methods before the press release, and has a weakness for the question: compared with what? Her articles use verifiable sources, distinguish evidence from interpretation, and make room for the people who have to live with education policy.
